You are invited to join us for a special cross-cultural event!

On loan from the Vancouver Holocaust Education Centre, Calgary Jewish Federation and the Calgary Chinese Cultural Centre present, Shanghai: A Refuge During the Holocaust. It chronicles the little-known story of the thousands of Jews who sought and found refuge in wartime Shanghai. Based on the oral histories of Shanghai-landers, the exhibit tells their stories through the use of documents and photographs. This exhibit presents the compelling history of this special sanctuary and of those who survived through resolve, adaptability, and resourcefulness.  Open to the public and free of charge.
