Calgary Jewish Federation tribute cards combine our duty to give tzedakah with the opportunity to honour someone special, to celebrate seminal occasions, and remember someone we love.

Send a card in honour or to celebrate a special someone or event:

Send a condolence message to commemorate a loved one or friend.

Send a holiday message to family and friends.

There are three options on how to do this:

1. E-CARD - sent via email to the recipient.
2. PRINTED PAPER CARD - card will be printed and mailed to recipient.
3. DO IT YOURSELF - Pick up cards and write and mail on your own. 

Tribute card tax-deductible donations can be directed to:

 

  • Faider Family Fund supports leadership development.
  • Hillel Calgary fully engages post-secondary students in Jewish life, develops leadership abilities and strengthens connections to Israel. Thus, playing a critical role in ensuring the future of our Jewish community.
  • Holocaust and Human Rights Education Fund​ is used to promote acceptance, social justice and human rights through education and commemoration of the Holocaust.
  • IBP (Integrated Bursary Program) opens doors to Jewish education, camp and youth experiences.
  • Israel Emergency Fund was established because our beloved Israel was attacked and is now in a state of war. Those affected, our Israeli family, have great needs. Calgary Jewish Federation will ensure that 100 percent of funds donated will provide critically needed aid to victims and their families.
  • Israel Partnership Fund supports Calgary Jewish Federation’s signature Canada-Israel connection, Partnership2Gether, whose mission it is to build and strengthen relationships between people and communities in Coast-to-Coast Canada and in Etzbah Hagalil (the Galilee Panhandle) through programs that build Jewish identity and promote the welfare and wellbeing of all partners involved.​​
  • Jewish Adult Calgary (JAC)  creates opportunities for Jewish adults under 40 to build friendships and connect to Jewish cultural, social and family events. Based on the principle of Tikkun Olam (repairing the world) JAC also fosters opportunities for fundraising, volunteerism, and leadership. 
  • Kesher and Inclusion Fund is used to develop Inclusivity awareness and education in community organizations while creating programs and services so people of all abilities enjoy a warm and welcoming community. ​
  • Lion of Judah YACHAD Fund helps children feel a sense of belonging.
  • PJ Library® sends free, age appropriate, Jewish-content books to the homes of subscribed children from ages six months to 12 years old.
  • UJA - United Jewish Appeal supports programs and services provided by Calgary Jewish Federation and our partner agencies locally, nationally, in Israel and around the world.

 

(Note — Buying a tribute card is considered outside of one's annual UJA gift.)

Minimum donation to receive a charitable tax receipt is $18.
